SAMSN Supporters Workshop

Supporting men who were sexually abused when they were young: A workshop for partners, family and friends.

“My partner is struggling with memories of being abused as a child. How can I help him?”

“An old friend has just told me he was sexually abused when he was a child. What should I say to him?”

“I think my brother was abused when he was kid. Can I ask him if he was?”

“I have just found out my son has been sexually abused. What should I do?”

SAMSN is committed to supporting men who were sexually abused when they were children or teenagers. As part of this commitment SAMSN conducts workshops to support the partners, family members and friends of men recovering from abuse.

These SAMSN workshops will provide answers to these difficult questions and assist supporters to have confidence in responding to the needs of male survivors. These workshops are interactive with time to make comments and ask questions. A SAMSN director will be present. He is a survivor of child sexual abuse so knows first-hand the importance of receiving support from those around him. And like all survivors he will have benefited from these important people in his journey of recovery! These workshops are designed to support the supporters.

SAMSN Supporters Workshops cost $25.00 per person to help cover venue costs. The workshops are free to concession card holders.
